Creamy Pork Chops and Potatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 F. Spray a 9 x 13 casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. Place sliced potatoes in the bottom of the casserole dish, layering evenly until the dish is approximately half full. Place the pork chops evenly spaced on top of the potatoes.

  3. In a bowl combine all remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour the mixture evenly over the pork chops and potatoes.

  4. Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake for 2 hours, then remove foil and continue baking for 30 minutes to allow the pork to brown on top.

Notes

  • The original recipe calls for 6 large potatoes. Depending on the size of the potatoes, 6 will completely fill a 9 x 13 casserole dish with no room for the pork chops or sauce on top. To avoid waste, start with 3 potatoes and continue adding more until the dish is about 1/2 - 2/3 full. This will leave room for the pork chops and sauce without spilling over during cooking. If more potatoes are desired, use a larger casserole dish or place the extra potatoes in a separate dish and cook together.
