Ingredients
Instructions
-
Heat olive oil in a skillet with a tight-fitting cover over medium-high heat.
-
Add onion, bell pepper, garlic, ground beef, dry mustard, chili powder, salt, and pepper to skillet. Sauté until the beef is no longer pink, breaking it up as it cooks.
-
Add rice and cook for two minutes, allowing rice to absorb juices.
-
Add tomato paste and cook for one minute.
-
Add diced tomatoes with juice, water, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
-
Remove lid and fluff mixture with a fork. If the mixture is too wet, cook a few more minutes with the lid off.
-
(Optional) Sprinkle cheese on top and replace cover for a few minutes to melt before serving.
