Rudy’s Slow Cooker Creamed Corn

I don't prepare many special side dishes that go up on this website; usually I stick to simple items like steamed vegetables and such. But, when I came across this recipe I decided it was worth looking into.

The website where I found it mentioned it was a "copycat" of the creamed corn served at a restaurant called Rudy's Barbecue. I've never been to a Rudy's so I can't confirm it tastes the same, but I can say it's pretty close in taste to the creamed corn my Mom used to make when I was growing up... and that was some really good corn!

The photo isn't the best - you can barely see the "cream" in the corn... but I promise it's there!
