If you like chili cheese dogs, this is for you. It's quick and simple to make, and using crescent roll dough gives it a lighter breading than traditional hot dogs.

Preheat oven to 375 F. Lightly spray a 9 x 13 casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Roll out crescent dough and pinch together the perforations to seal. Cut into 8 evenly sized squares. Sprinkle cheese on each square, then place a hot dog and roll the dough around it, sealing the edges together.
Spread the chili evenly on the bottom of the casserole dish. Place the rolled hot dogs side by side on top of the chili.
In a small bowl combine melted butter, garlic powder, and chives and mix well. Brush the mixture over the hot dogs.
Cover dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then remove foil and continue baking for an additional 20 minutes. Serve with more chives as garnish if desired.
