Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F. Prepare a baking pan large enough to hold the pork chops without touching by spraying with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. Arrange three medium bowls into a breading workspace as follows:

    1. Place the flour into the first bowl.
    2. Place the egg and water into the second bowl and whisk together.
    3. Place the Panko crumbs and cheese into the third bowl and mix thoroughly.
  3. Bread each pork chop by first dredging it in flour to coat all sides, then dip into the egg mixture to coat the flour, and finally into the Panko mixture, pressing the crumbs firmly into the pork on all sides. Place the breaded chops in the baking pan, keeping them separated to cook evenly.

  4. Bake 30-35 minutes or until a meat thermometer registers 145 F in the center of the chops. Remove the pan from the oven and let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can use any bone-in or boneless pork chops (rib cut, center cut, loin cut, sirloin, etc.). Nutritional information is based on boneless sirloin cut pork chops.
  • You can use any plain or seasoned Panko crumbs. The pork chop pictured was breaded with Italian seasoned crumbs.
  • For more flavor, add your favorite seasonings to the flour and/or Panko crumbs before breading.
  • To add color and crunch to the breading, set the oven to Broil after cooking is finished and broil the chops for 1-2 minutes.
