Notes
- A deep pie pan is highly recommended.
- Homemade pie pastry can also be used.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and stored frozen (cooked or uncooked) for up to 4 months.
- Uncooked: Do not put egg wash on the crust prior to freezing. When ready to cook, brush with egg wash and bake from frozen for 50-60 minutes at 400 F or until crust is golden brown.
- Cooked: Reheat from frozen for 20-30 minutes at 400 F.
- There are many different combinations of meats and seasonings used in making a tourtière. Feel free to experiment!
