At the end of cooking, remove the chicken and shred with two forks. Return the chicken to the slow cooker and add the blue cheese dressing, cream cheese, sour cream, Cheddar cheese, and Gouda cheese. Continue cooking on High for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until all the cheeses are melted and blended together.
4 While the cheeses are melting, prepare the macaroni according to package directions, cooking until just al dente (about 5-7 minutes).
5 Drain the macaroni and add to the slow cooker, stirring until everything is well combined. Serve immediately.

Notes
- Ranch dressing can be substituted for the blue cheese dressing if desired
- Mild, medium, or hot buffalo sauce can be used
- For more heat, increase the buffalo sauce or serve with additional hot sauce on the side.
- Additional vegetables such as cooked broccoli, spinach, or roasted bell pepper were suggested as add-ins in the original recipe
- Other short pastas could be used such as shells or rotini
- The original recipe called for Mozzarella cheese instead of Gouda. I replaced it as I didn't think Mozzarella would work well.
- The original recipe states this makes 6 servings, but the final volume when finished was approximately 4 quarts in my slow cooker, which typically results in 8 servings. The nutritional information is based on 8 servings.
